REDWOOD CITY, CA — Network Chemistry, the wireless security experts, announced today that its RFprotect™ suite of products is officially in evaluation for an EAL2 certification under the Canadian Communications Security Establishment’s (CSE) Common Criteria Evaluation and Certification Scheme (CCS). Common Criteria certification of security products is mandated for commercial information security products purchased by the U.S. government for use in national security systems, and Network Chemistry’s participation in this process (http://www.cse-cst.gc.ca/services/common-criteria/ongoing-evals-e.html) demonstrates the company’s commitment to providing the highest quality assurance to its customers.

The CCS certification is a globally accepted standard for evaluating the security features and capabilities of information technology products. It consists of several predetermined assurance levels that a vendor can choose to be tested against, each one more stringent than the previous. CCS certifications are mutually accepted by all countries participating in the CC Recognition Arrangement (currently 24), including the U.S., Australia, Canada, and the U.K. through the National Information Assurance Partnership.

“Our award-winning suite of RFprotect solutions already meets the stringent security requirements of the government market, and certification will further assure both government and enterprise customers that our solutions have been tested to the highest criteria,” said Dr. Chris Waters, CTO at Network Chemistry. “This effort further highlights our commitment to provide our customers with the most comprehensive security solutions so they can protect their critical wireless data, networks and devices, and enforce ‘no wireless’ policies where necessary.”

Network Chemistry’s patent-pending technology and RFprotect platform provide a comprehensive wireless security solution that seamlessly integrates with enterprise network, WLAN and security systems. RFprotect Distributed is a 24/7 wireless monitoring and intrusion-prevention system for protecting against wireless threats in and around enterprise facilities. RFprotect Scanner, a network-based vulnerability management solution focused on rogue wireless device detection and automated remediation, is the ideal solution for organizations that need to cost effectively enforce ‘no wireless’ policies. RFprotect Mobile is a portable laptop-based analyzer for automating site surveys, security assessments, and incident response. Finally, RFprotect Endpoint protects mobile devices on the road by actively enforcing policy to thwart threats and prohibit risky wireless configurations.

To facilitate the prompt completion of the Common Criteria certification process, Network Chemistry has partnered with Corsec Security, a consulting firm with more than eight years of validation experience. Network Chemistry has contracted with Electronic Warfare Associates, Ltd., (EWA) to carry out the evaluations in EWA’s accredited IT Security Evaluation & Test Facility.
